LifeQuest Academy ("the Application") is created and operated by Red Planet Apps Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, store, process, and safeguard data when users interact with the LifeQuest Academy mobile application and web services.

Because LifeQuest Academy serves learners across multiple age brackets (including children, youth, and adults), we maintain strict compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Google Play Store Developer Policies for Families.

2. Information We Collect & How It Is Processed

We believe in minimal data collection. The data collected by LifeQuest Academy falls into the following categories:

• Local Progress & Game State: Player experience points (XP), unlocked academies, badges, age bracket selections, and simulation scores are stored locally on your device via standard Web Storage / LocalStorage.
• Account & Cloud Sync (Optional): If you choose to log in using Firebase Authentication, we store your authenticated User ID (UID), display name (if provided), and synced progress data in secure cloud storage to enable cross-device progress restoration.
• Microphone & Voice Interaction (Optional): Specific interactive modules—such as simulated 911 emergency call dispatch training and AI Mentor "Aura" voice interactions—require microphone permission. Audio input is processed in real time for speech-to-text recognition. Voice recordings are NOT stored permanently or harvested for external training model resale.

3. How We Use Information

Data collected is used exclusively for functional application features:

• Calculating skill level progress and awarding certificates of completion.
• Providing real-time voice feedback during emergency dispatch and trade simulation challenges.
• Synchronizing achievements and progress across your personal devices.
• Improving app performance, stability, and bug fixes via aggregated, non-personally identifiable diagnostic telemetry.

4. Children's Privacy & Parental Safeguards (COPPA)

LifeQuest Academy is built with child safety as a top priority:

• No Targeted Ads: The app does not display targeted third-party advertising or run tracking SDKs for ad networks.
• Parental Controls & Data Deletion: Parents and legal guardians can inspect, modify, or request complete deletion of any child account data stored in our system at any time.
• No Social Profiling: We do not publicly display email addresses, location coordinates, or full legal names to other users.

5. Security & Storage Infrastructure

All cloud interactions take place over industry-standard TLS/SSL encrypted connections. Firebase authentication tokens and user memory records are protected with strict access control rules. Local storage data remains stored exclusively on your device unless explicit cloud synchronization is enabled by the user.

6. Data Retention & Account Purge Protocol

Local progress data remains on your device until you clear app storage or uninstall the application. Cloud-synced account data is retained as long as your account remains active. You may request account closure and total deletion of all associated cloud data by emailing support@redplanetapps.com with the subject line "LifeQuest Data Deletion Request".
